Why does my pH keep rising?
Aeration drives it up, so fountains, waterfalls and salt cells all raise pH continuously. In a salt pool this is normal and ongoing rather than a fault, and acid addition becomes routine maintenance.
What happens if pH is too low?
The water becomes corrosive, attacking metal fittings, heater components and pool surfaces, and it makes eyes sting. Low pH damages equipment faster than high pH does.
Should I use muriatic acid or dry acid?
